Shirleyanne Martens born May 16th 1936 in Flint Michigan to Marguerite Ruth Wilson Baker and Stanley Wilson. After the end of WWII she moved from her grandparents' farm and joined her mother in Inglewood, CA, where she attended school. There she met and married Richard (Dick) Martens on June 21, 1952. Together they had and are survived by three children, Michal (Bud Hild), of Boise, David (Jeannie) Martens of Garden Valley, and Carolanne (Mike) Rummel of Meridian. Following Dick’s passing she fell in love with Dennis Almeda of Boise with whom she has spent the last 24 years with. She is also survived by six grandchildren, John Hild, Kristi (Kevin) Boyd, Shane (Angela) Hild, and Scott (Jessica), JonDavis Martens, Kjeranne Rummel, and Johnathan (Jessica) Rummel, along with 12 great grands. She was also very much loved and adored by anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. Shirleyanne is proceeded in death by her parents Marguerite and George Baker and spouse Richard J Martens. Affectionately known as Nana, she loved spending time with her children, grandkids, and traveling. She loved to sew, bake, crochet, as well as doing crosswords and putting together puzzles. Nana loved the outdoors including fishing, mining, and metal detecting. She was also a huge history buff and provided the elementary and jr. high schools the opportunity to learn all about Boise’s history, the founding fathers, and the old pioneer cemetery (located on Warm Springs Ave across from the old East Jr High School).  She was instrumental in obtaining the fencing along with new head stones and contacted the descendants of those families whose headstones had been damaged and needed to be replaced which helped bring the cemetery to its current beauty. Nana will be forever remembered and missed.
