Obituary of Charleen Marie Lawrence

Charleen Marie (Batt) Lawrence of Boise, Idaho completed her life race on June 13, 2021 with her children and grandchildren close by, her biggest fans.

Charleen was born December 8, 1946 to Fred and June Batt in Yakima, WA. Growing up on a small farm where she learned to enjoy the outdoors, hard work and the importance of family. She moved to Idaho in 1976 to raise her family and start a new journey . She stayed very close with her sister and cousins in Yakima and Cedar City, UT.

Charleen worked multiple jobs to provide for her two children as a single mom but landed firmly with Boise Water (Suez) in 1981. There she met her husband Jim and many life friends. She retired after 30 years with a focus on enjoying her family and friends. She was so proud to have built her new house in Eagle just a few years ago, surrounded by loving neighbors and the great network that came with it.

Charleen was your biggest cheerleader, she was your best friend, she was whatever you needed her to be and she was always there for you. Her love was unconditional and she would do anything to help anyone she met. Her gratitude was limitless for her children, grandchildren, sister, parents, family and friends. She worked hard to provide the absolute best for her children and grandchildren and took great joy in giving to all of them.

Charleen loved the outdoors, traveling and baking. If you ever got the chance to taste her red velvet cake, her breads, her fruit cakes, or her tea ring served on a pizza pan, you knew her baking was as sweet and as filled with love as she was. She loved walks on the green belt and down to Merrill Park with her new dog.

Charleen is survived by her sister Tammi (Denny), her daughter Lisa (Shane), her son Ryan (Chamagne), her grandchildren Logan, Ally, Bria and Lilly and her dog Peanut. Charleen is preceded in death by her parents Fred & June and her husband Jim.

Services will be held at Dry Creek Cemetery on June 26th at 10AM.
