Obituary of Margaret Anderson
Margaret A Anderson passed away on Sunday December 30th, 2018 in Nampa, Idaho. She was 96.
Margaret was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Meeker, Oklahoma to Ed and Maggie Martin.
She met the love of her life and married Walter M. Anderson on June 4th, 1956, in Basel, Switzerland, 62 years ago. The second ceremony was in the Methodist church in Wiesbaden Germany. Wally and Margaret loved to travel and started by honeymooning immediately and traveled to Basel, Switzerland, Venice, Italy, Lido, Rome, Florence, Naples, Pompeii, Barcelona, Spain, Majorca, Mediterranean Sea, Ibiza, just to name a few. They were blessed to experience the cultures, food and scenery. After honeymooning they returned to Germany where Walter was stationed for 2 years. Together they raised children Ronald and Duane. In addition to the boys, a baby girl expired before birth. Walter and Margaret collected from all over the world and lived life to the fullest. Prior to residing in Nampa Margaret resided in her birthplace of Meeker Oklahoma, San Antonio Texas, San Francisco California, Boise and Emmett, Idaho and a summer home in San Felipe, Mexico and good friends were made at each location.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and sister, her husband Walter in October of 2017, her sons Ronald and Duane. She is survived by grandsons, Paul Anderson, Erik (Jenna) Anderson and Corby (Danielle) Anderson; great grandchildren Rachel and Peyton.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday at Summers Funeral Home in Meridian with Reverend Bill Zink officiating.
