Obituary of Nabila Mansoor
Nabila Mansoor of Meridian, ID, passed Jan 9, 2019. Born Nov 30, 1932 in Cairo, Egypt, she is predeceased by her husband Robert, and is survived by her daughter Doris, granddaughters Corinne and Audrey, grandson-in-law Ryan, and great-granddaughter Kamal.
She and her daughter Doris, immigrated to the United States arriving in San Francisco on July 4, 1958 to join Robert, who had emigrated from Egypt a year earlier. She and Robert built a successful antiques and jewelry business, and eventually a wholesale business. Her humility and quiet demeanor hid her brilliance in business, marketing, and finance. A believer in helping others, she volunteered at the senior center in Southern California for a decade, and 15 years at the Meridian, Idaho, Senior Center. She crocheted blankets for the animals at the local shelter upon learning they had nothing soft to lay on. A small person with a huge presence, kindness, and generosity were her hallmark. She was beloved by all.
