My first memory of Kati is, unexpectedly, not as the mom of my kindergarten-adulthood friend Erik, but of her as a substitute teacher. As a timid 5 yr. old, I was immediately stunned and charmed by her taking a seat ON the teacher's desk, not at it, swinging her legs back and forth, reading a Bozo the Clown story to our class of miniatures. This is the image of Kati I've had forever, even after getting to know her as the devoted mom and grandma to a bunch of wonderful people. I'm so sorry for your loss, Stidham family. Blessings to all of you.

I have so many memories, this little box certainly won’t hold them all. Aunt Kati was a vibrant, young at heart, beautiful woman. We loved to travel together and explore new places. The years and years of traveling to NCAA basketball tournaments were the best times I’ve ever had. She never met anyone she didn’t “know” - she had the perfect personality to engage in conversation and make people comfortable. We always said “don’t invite us to join in because we will” and she just laughed with that great smile. Aunt Kati was spiritual and you could sense her faith. I will miss you more than I can explain. Thank you for the love and the memories throughout these years. You were my Aunt Kati, my second Mom, my Godmother, my travel partner and my best friend. As you told me I had to be your best friend because I knew too much. I am so glad I did and experienced life with you. Thank you to Erik, Sammie and Dude for sharing her with me. XO Lisa

Rest in peace, Kati. Seeing you with my brother, George, each year for our Gamber family reunion was a highlight of my trip home each year. From the first day we all met you , we knew you were one of us.
My condolences to my brother, George, and to Kati's entire family. She will be missed by all of us.

I was involved for several years with The Epilepsy Foundation, so I got to know Katie very well & always enjoyed her friendship. One time we traveled to New York City & took in all the sights. I remember going many places to find a Coke instead of a Pepsi. We saw Mohammad Ali outside our hotel. I loved her fun spirit.
