Obituary of Ruth Myer Bennett

Ruth Bennett (Myers) peacefully passed in to our Lords loving arms on February 10,2019, at Shaw Mountain of Cascadia Care Center in Boise, Idaho, she was the young age of 90.

Ruth was born on June 18,1928 in Jerome, Idaho to parents Walter E and Laura E Myers. She attended school in Jerome where she graduated high school. In 1949 Ruth attended Midwestern Schools Inc. where she received a certification in Airline Reservation Training. Ruth met Kermit Bennett in 1955 fell in love and married in January of 1956. The couple welcomed their first child Mark into the world the first of five children, Anita in 1959, Judy in 1961, Elaine in 1964 and Danny in 1968.

Ruth enjoyed of her life as a homemaker caring for her husband and children. She mastered the culinary art, everyone loved her homemade pot roast, banana pudding and especially her dinner rolls. Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing, making gift for family and friends. Ruth loved to have family gathering and picnics

Ruth is survived by her brothers Luther Myers of Jerome, Idaho and Paul Myers of Kingman, Arizona, daughters Anita Sanderson (spouse Warren) of Middleton, Idaho, Judy Nichols (spouse Calvin) of Garland, Texas, Elaine Mordhorse (spouse Jerry) of Fruitland, Idaho, and son Daniel Bennett of Nampa, Idaho. Ruth leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 24 treasured great grandchildren who she adored. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kermit, son Mark, grandson Luca, parents Walter and Laura Myers and 11 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held the summer of 2019 where her ashes will be joined with her husband Kermit’s.
