Obituary of Gregory Scott Reiss

Gregory Scott Reiss, 58, passed away at a local care center on Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Greg Reiss loved life. He loved God and committed his life to Jesus Christ and had a passion leading others to a relationship with Jesus. He spent many years working with the men at Nampa’s Lighthouse Mission.

Greg was always quick to laugh; he especially liked laughing with his nieces and nephews, and they loved Uncle Greg. In his younger years, Greg played a lot of tennis and enjoyed rooting for his favorite pros. He was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed the latest blockbuster movies and had a love for music. Greg was an avid reader and traveled the world and explored history through his books. One place that he was especially drawn to was Hawaii. He loved all things Hawaii and was able to make several trips.

Greg is survived by his mom, Becky Largent of Eagle; brother & sister-in-law, Jay & Denise Reiss of Cambridge, Idaho; sister and brother-in-law, Mary & Don Nelson of Meridian; nieces and nephews, Danielle & Dustin Reese, Kyndra Reiss, Sam and Anny Nelson; and two very special great-nephews, Duke & Dallin Reese; and his favorite aunt Mary Jane (Janie to Greg) & Mike Swope.
