Obituary of Anne Louise Barnes Hansen

Anne Louise Barnes Hansen was born on June 10, 1940, the 4th of 9 children of Ray and Velda Barnes.  She died peacefully at home with loved ones on May 1st 2019.

 Anne graduated from Boise High School in 1958.  She married Loren Hansen in June 1965 and they divorced in 1986.  They had 3 children, Janice born 1966, Beverly in 1968 and Andrea in 1974. Anne never re-married.

As a child Anne, loved playing with her two younger brothers, Jack and Richard.  The three of them would often get into mischevious situations.  Anne also loved to play, jacks, hopscotch, marbles and jump rope.

In her young married years, Anne enjoyed bowling and even bowled on a league with several friends.  She and Loren would also, often, get together and play pinochle with other friends and all the kids would play together.  Anne enjoyed reading, watching comedy shows, watching old movies and hanging with her kids and grandkids.

She lived in the Boise area her entire life.  One of her greatest joys, was being able to retire early from her job at the State of Idaho and stay home taking care of her 5 grandchildren.  She loved attending all of her their dance recitals, sporting events and various other school programs.  Their accomplishments were her accomplishments, they  were her proudest achievement.

Anne is survived by her 2 brothers, Leonard(Marilyn) & Richard(Nancy), 2 sisters, Charlotte & Sharon(Chuck), her 3 daughters, Janice, Beverly(Don), their three children, Jessica, Melissa and Jacob.  Andrea and her two children, Paige and Dustin and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceeded in death by her parents and four brothers.

Graveside only services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday May 9, 2019 arrangements under the direction of Summers Funeral home.
