Obituary of Simone Mercia Josephine (Sheets) Parker

Simone Mercia Josephine (Sheets) Parker passed away on June 26, 2019 in Boise, Idaho at the age of 54. She was born March 30, 1965 in Orange, California to Carl Elbert and Therese Mercy (Pollock) Sheets. She spent her childhood in Garden Grove, California. She eventually started working at the Marriott hotel in Anaheim, California where she met and married the love of her life, Stephen Lewis Parker. They married on September 8, 1984. They had two daughters, Lauren Simone born on July 14, 1988, and Alexandria Therese born on December 26, 1994.

In September of 1997 they relocated to Eagle, Idaho where they purchased their first home. Simone loved Eagle and loved living in Idaho. She made many friends and everyone instantly loved her and her bright personality. She always knew how to have fun. She was only 5’2” but her personality was larger than life. She eventually had one grandson and three granddaughters who were the lights of her life. She absolutely loved being a “Gee” and “Gammy.” She did everything for everyone and never wanted anything for herself. She loved going on cruises and other trips with her husband, spending time with her family, cooking, and wildlife. She was always taking care of the squirrels and birds that visited her yard. She was a fantastic cook and was always coming up with new recipes that everyone loved. She cared deeply for others and treated everyone who came to her home like family. 

Simone is survived by her husband, Steve; her two daughters, Lauren (Parker) Bauer and Alexandria (Parker) White; her sons-in-law Aric Bauer and Jonathan White; her grandchildren, Landon Bauer, Marissa Bauer, Savannah Bauer, and Banks White; her sister Christine (Sheets) Gilbert; her brother Steven Sheets; her nieces Cherith, Nicole, Angela, and Layla. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Therese Sheets; her father Carl Sheets; and her sister Francine Braae.
