Lorraine Lorenzo

Obituary of Lorraine Lorenzo

Lorraine Kathleen Lorenzo, loving wife of 55 years to Nick, mother to Peter and David and their wives, Kathleen and Amy, and Nana to Morgan and Clara, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, July 8 after a courageous battle with ALS.

Lorraine brought beauty and love to everything she did in this world. She and Nick loved and supported each other throughout their lives after meeting at Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ in 1960.  They were married in 1964.

Nick and Lorraine relocated to Boise

in 2006 to be close to their two granddaughters, and she enjoyed each and every moment she spent with them.

Lorraine showed courage and grace after being diagnosed with ALS in early March at the Mayo Clinic.  She kept her spirits up, and her faith in God remained strong every day.

Nick's true love and selfless dedication for her was evident every day has he became her primary care giver.  Because of Nick's tireless commitment to her comfort and care, Lorraine was able to stay at home in the beautiful environment they created together.

Today, Lorraine is smiling, walking with family and friends, and watching over the all of the lives she touched. And she would expect all of us to continue to talk with her, remember the beauty she brought into this world, and know her spirit and legacy lives on.

God has received into heaven a beautiful and loyal angel.  We are blessed to have had Lorraine in our lives, and she will live on in all of us.

In lieu of flowers, our family asks that you use the link below to make a charitable donation in Lorraine's name to further ALS research at the Department of Neurology at the Mayo Clinic.  Through her passing, we can impact the efforts to find a cure for this devastating disease.
