Obituary of Robert Ernest Livengood

It is with great sadness that the family of Bob Livengood announces his passing on July 29, 2019, at the age of 57, in Boise, Idaho.

Bob was born on February 28, 1962, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Kenneth and Mary Livengood.  His family moved from Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Mountain Home, Idaho in December 1970, when Bob was in the third grade.  He graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1980.

Over the next few years, Bob lived in Eugene, Oregon; Mountain Home, Idaho; Poulsbo, Washington; and finally residing in Boise, Idaho, until his death.

Early on Bob had various jobs including fast food, working for a fish packing company, and a small business owner.  He also worked for the City of Mountain Home for a few years.  After moving to Boise he began working for Fresca Foods, where he worked for 25 years.  During the last years of his life he worked for the Idaho Youth Ranch.

Bob was a dog lover and an avid sports fan. His favorite football teams were the Green Bay Packers and the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers.  He loved baseball and coached Little League in Mountain Home for several years.  His hobbies included collecting specialty plates; playing computer games; reading; attending auctions and yard sales; and cooking and collecting recipes. 

He is survived by his mother Mary Livengood; brother Randy (Beth) Livengood; sisters Catherine Alvarez, Judy (Robert) Wauer, Linda Livengood, and Susan Livengood; niece Jessica Wauer; and nephew Ryan Wauer.  He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Livengood.

A casual memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, followed by an open house/reception from 2:30 – 4:00 pm, on Saturday, August 10, at Summers Funeral Home, 3629 East Ustick Road, Meridian, Idaho. Light refreshments will be served.
