Obituary of Jerrold Kirk Lamm

Kirk Lamm was born November 28, 1948 in Enterprise, Oregon.  He passed away November 4, 2019 in Boise, Idaho.

Kirk was the son of Charles and Melba Lamm.  He married Carol Lamm in 1973 which made him an instant father to Jana and Julie.  Kirk’s children are Jana Fleming (Mike) of Meridian ID, Julie Schumacher (Greg) of Grangeville ID and Jeff Lamm (Kinsey) of Meridian ID.  Kirk lived for his grandchildren.  He was blessed with 9 of them: Kara Elliott (Nick) and Katherine (Jace Humphreys) [Jana Fleming]; Brad, Patrick, Kylie and Jordan (Julie Schumacher); Elias and Alexandra Iske and Sophia Lamm (Jeff Lamm).  Kirk was never happier than when he was at one of their sporting events, plays, concerts or graduations.  He was always the proudest person in the room! 

Kirks siblings are Alan Lamm of Lewiston, ID and Kathy Dow (Jim) of Bonney Lake, WA.

Kirk graduated from Grangeville HS in 1967.  He attended the University of Idaho, Lewis-Clark State College and the American Institute of Banking. Kirk had many jobs in his lifetime.  In his younger days, he worked for the U.S Forest Service, sold cars for Gortsema Motors, worked for Highland Enterprises, as well as various other jobs.  He spent many years working for Idaho First/West One Bank.  In his later years, he owned a landscaping business with his son Jeff, and he spent his last few years transporting medical patients for Tolo Transportation of Grangeville.

Kirk was a staunch University of Idaho fan through the good years and the bad.  He enjoyed watching and playing all sports.  In high school, he was even in the band.  Kirk was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He dabbled a little in gold prospecting and enjoyed photography.  Kirk spent his last few years back home with friends and family in Grangeville. He will be greatly missed for his acts of kindness and positive attitude and outlook on life.

Kirk was proceeded in death by his loving wife Carol Lamm, and his father Charles Lamm.

Memorial service will be held at Tree City Church in Boise, Idaho at 2pm.
