Obituary of Dean Lee Smith
Dean Lee Smith was born in Kearney Nebraska on June 7, 1939 to Bernard and Frances Smith. He grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming with an engineering degree. He married Rena Semenza on June 2, 1962. They have four children: Kirsten Myers (Mike), Dean Brenton Smith (Cyndi), John Quentin Smith (Valerie), and Karene Alton. They have nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Dean did engineering design on bridges for the interstate highway system, the MARTA rapid transit system in Atlanta, the renovation of O’Hare airport in Chicago, and the Interlochen Technology Park in Broomfield, Colorado.
He was a member of the LDS church and was a kind father and friend. He is missed.
