Mary, I tried so many times to reach you. Now I know why I couldn't. I think of you every day when I read the book you gave me, JESUS CALLING".
I just received the write up on Nick with the UDT-SEAL Association of his passing. My heart is broken,,,
You and Popi were so kind and loving to Daddy when he got sick in 2013. I loved spending every day with you and Popi when Dad was at St. Luke's. You and Popi were my Angel's on Earth. I know now that you both are with Dad in Heaven.
All of Popi and Dad's Navy SEAL Brother's are celebrating in Heaven and are probably looking at the mess down here on Earth.
I miss you Mary B. I will always have you in my Heart. I know that Pete and I and ALL of our puppies with see you on the other side.
I love you Mary B and Popi!

Mary made coming to work fun. With her funny sayings and little dances. She loved being a nurse and it showed. She use to call herself G dog and when I became a grandma she called me little G dog. I can just see her now, her giving Jesus the business up there. lol. She will be missed. I can't wait until we meet again! My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Our sweet Mary B...she was an angel sent to earth now back in our Lords arms. Watching Mary perform her true calling, nursing, was an honor. She made me want to be a better provider and person. Mary has a legacy here in our clinic in the lives she touched, providers and patients alike. She led by example and faith. Mary is certainly missed but will always be remembered.
Blessings to her family.

To Mary B...
You became one of the most precious gifts in my life...there are no mistakes, no coincidences, just people that are meant to connect with each other in life. You, Mary B, were one of the true blessings, and I hope I was that to you...
Times spent with you were always an adventure...whether it was drinking champagne on the back porch, helping you with your physical therapy after knee surgery, (and laughing as I made you do your cycling!), trying on crazy hats at the antique store, ordering too much food at the Olive Garden, 9pm runs to Baskin Robbins, or just talking to you on the phone for hours at a time. I will miss your giggle when you'd hear my voice on the phone, starting with, "Mary B, you little vixen!..." and hearing your laughter and response, "Oh girl...you make me laugh!" Such pure joy it was, sharing time with you and Popi. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend and "extra mom," and for loving me. Forever in my heart...
Popi, Tiffany, and Nick...my prayers for comfort are with you. Thank you for sharing her. Love, Janet

To remember Mary is to smile and feel a happy warmth in my heart. It is a joy and comfort to know she is singing and laughing in heaven with her beautiful voice and vibrant spirit, and that we will be with her again forever when we join her there. Her humor and laughter brightened our lives each time we were together. I treasure comments she made to me over the years which lifted burdens, gave wise guidance, and expressed her love. I have quoted her pithy remarks more than once to others. She was an inspirational speaker for women's groups, with personal stories of God's goodness and provision, as she invited others to put their trust in Jesus Christ. She enjoyed making spiritual applications through humor and skits for the ministry "Catch the Spirit" which was a God-given ministry she initiated to bring women together for encouragement and faith. A multi-talented lady with a willing heart to be used by God however He directed her. We talked many times, anticipating being in heaven with Jesus and those who love Him. I miss her, but am consoled by the knowledge that our separation is only temporary, and we will be celebrating together again soon. Meanwhile, the party has already started, because Mary is there!

I was saddened to learn of Mary's passing. She was a very special person. Always happy. I have many fond memories of her working with me as my nurse when I worked for St Lukes internal medicine in Meridian. She was also well liked by my many patients.
I especially remember the time she cornered me in the hallway and insisted I tell her why I was now wearing loose clothing.. She knew I was pregnant and wanted to know why I hadn't told anyone....well eventually I did and have a wonderful healthy son who is now 22 years old.
I will always remember her smile and her laugh and she will always have a special place in my heart.
Fondly,
Dr Erika Lewis

My heart did a major league flutter this morning when I saw Mary (B)'s notice in the Statesman. Your wife and Mother was my nurse, for a number of years, at Saint Luke's Internal Med. She always had a smile on her face, was considerate and always very professional. She was the concatenate(sp?) nurse. Although I haven't seen her since her retirement, I'll miss her. Hang in there, family. Lowell Rosanbalm

Mary was our next door neighbor and while we knew her a relatively short time, she was an awesome lady. Always friendly, warm and with a smile, she was a wonderful person and one we came to know and love. To Nick, Tiffany, Mike and the entire family, we offer our heartfelt condolences, prayers and our hearts are with you during this time. If there is ever anything we can do to help, no matter how small, please let us know. Knowing that Mary trusted so much in the Lord, we can imagine her lighting up the heavens with her humor and her heart.

Mary was one of my favorite nurses when I started working as an Internist at St. Luke's Internal Medicine. Her devotion to her patients was admirable. She was so patient and kind especially with difficult to manage patients. I loved work potlucks as I was a big fan of her famous salmon dip which she would bring in frequently. :) In fact, I was at Costco yesterday and wheeled by the canned salmon and thought of her as I remembered that she said Costco was the only place she bought her canned salmon. :) I am very grateful to hear of her love for the Lord. She truly was a good an faithful servant and represented Christ on a daily basis. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Mary was the heart and soul of our St. Luke's Internal Medicine clinic during the many years I was fortunate enough to partner with her in service to our patients. Her compassion and care were coupled with great nursing skill and judgement, and our patients always knew they were in the care of a nurse who had truly mastered her craft. Mary was a support for me personally, and helped me be a better doctor every day. We shared many laughs and tears, and even as her memory faded she held on to the specific patient care moments that shaped our time together. Mary will be deeply missed, but I will forever remember her as the optimistic, caring, tenacious, hard-working, vibrant soul that she was. --Frank Johnson MD
