Obituary of Lee Mains

     On June 20, 2021 Lee Mains of Boise Idaho, a loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 78. Billie "Lee" Honour was born on September 4, 1942 to William and Gloria Honour of Dearborn Michigan. She married Robert Martin Mains of Cleveland Ohio on March 1, 1962 in Las Vegas Nevada. Robert "Bob" and Lee raised four beautiful children, Yvonne, Deborah, Robert Jr., and Sandra and were blessed with four grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

     As her husband Bob reminisces over her life, he's reminded of some distinguishing achievements and the bright light Lee shined on so many. She served her Lord Jesus Christ teaching children's Sunday school, caregiving to the elderly and drove a full-size school bus. She taught and raised her children to follow the ways of Christ, and is thanked by her children for this lifelong gift she provided them.

     Lee had many hobbies and interests. She was a competitive bowler, winning numerous awards, culminating in a 270 high game pin and trophy. She auditioned and was selected for a television commercial for laundry soap which aired many times. Lee loved to paint everything from her home's interior to craft figurines and took a respectable shot at oil painting outdoor scenes.

     Bob's favorite memory was of Lee's early culinary journey as newlyweds. Lee made cupcakes for the first time. After baking her first batch, she allowed them to cool and proceeded to the next step. Knowing cupcakes do have ridges and wanting to please her new husband, she tediously pressed the cupcake wrappers onto the tiny fragile cakes without crushing them. Bob, as an accomplished baker himself, was very impressed of course and gladly ate the whole batch.

      Lee's precious spirit and kindest of ways will forever be remembered by her family and friends
