Obituary of Roxanne Lopez

Roxanne Lopez, born February 9, 1959 went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2021, with her husband Francisco, close family members and their loyal dog Lucy by her side.

Roxanne was born in Gooding, Idaho and moved to California in 1966. She met her best friend and soulmate, Cisco in her early teens. Roxanne graduated high school in 1976 and married Cisco on December 11, 1976. The love they shared during their 45 years of marriage was undeniable and shone through whenever you saw them together or when either spoke the other's name.

Roxanne graduated from Sylmar High School in 1976 and went on to college and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management. She was a natural in HR, with her care and compassion for people and her determination to do the right thing. She worked for the City of Los Angeles as the head of HR, then moved to Idaho where she worked at the State Tax Commission ultimately serving as the HR Officer. Roxanne's dedication to her job was unparalleled right up until the day she retired in 2020.

Roxanne, otherwise known as "Auntie", loved and cared for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She also cherished family get-togethers. When Roxanne talked of family, it was hard to tell whether she was talking about her family or Cisco's family as they just all blended as one in her heart.

Anyone who had the opportunity to meet Roxanne could see the twinkle in her eye and the love she had for life and others. Her laugh was contagious. She was selfless and always there for anyone who needed anything. She was an honest, caring, loving individual and set a good example for all those that knew her. Roxanne's friends were truly blessed, their lives enriched and forever changed by her love and kindness.

Roxanne and Cisco enjoyed family, friends, seeing the latest movie, and their regular trips to Jackpot, Wendover, California, Mexico, and Hawaii. Roxanne also enjoyed crafting in her spare time, making beautiful quilts and elegant Christmas ornaments for family and friends.

Roxanne will be dearly missed; her faith and love for the Lord are a testament to us all that Jesus will be waiting for her with open arms!

Roxanne is survived by her husband; her brother Jimmie Joe (Marie), sister, Rhonda, her best friend Rhonda (Rick), nieces, nephews and family, who loved her dearly.
