Obituary of Madonna Rose Brengman

MADONNA “DONNA” ROSE BRENGMAN (MOM), 73, residing in Meridian, Idaho, peacefully passed away Saturday October 16, 2021, her beloved sons were by her side. She was born October 4, 1948 in Yakima, Washington. She grew up in the South Seattle area, graduating from Glacier Senior high school in 1967. From there, she moved to Fruitland, Idaho marrying Larry Benedict Henggeler, with whom they had two wonderful sons, Larry Dean and Jeffrey Wayne. Donna continued to raise the boys in Fruitland until moving to Vernal, Utah with her soulmate, Dorance “Cotton” Fladeland. Donna led a beautiful life in Vernal, working at K-Mart until Dorance’s passing. She then moved back to Idaho to be closer to her sons and grandsons.  She enjoyed going to her grandson’s football games on Friday nights, ringing her cowbell letting everyone in the stands know who her boys were. Donna continued in retail in McCall, Idaho working at Rite-Aid, where she retired. She enjoyed spending the summers in McCall, hanging out with Jeff at the RV shop. Donna spent the winters in Arizona, where she enjoyed the RV life with her sisters, family, and the new love of her life, Trina; her beloved dog. Donna loved going to Vigilantes and more recently Lakeview Golf Course and watching Larry Dean and the crew sing karaoke. She eventually moved to Nampa, having a lot of great times with her dear friend Mo Peterson. Donna finally settled in Meridian. She also loved spending time at the Beach House in Washington with her sisters and nieces and nephews. Donna loved her Seattle Seahawks. She and her sisters rarely missed the opportunity to text and call each other throughout every game. Donna was all about family. She loved being a mother, grandmother and Gigi, looking forward to Wednesday family dinners and weekends hanging out with all the “littles”. Donna was a beautiful soul with an amazing smile and even bigger heart. She brought joy to so many and will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Donna was the beautiful, caring mother of Larry D. Henggeler – wife Pamela; Jeffrey W. Henggeler – wife Shannon. She was raised in the Seattle Washington area, one of four daughters of the late Virgil & Wanda Brengman. Grammie Donna was the grandmother of Joshua  (Inez), Brandon (Jacquelyn), Tyler (Kayla), Matthew (Shyann), Kyle (Tatum). She was “Gigi”, great grandmother to Lakyn, Rhett, Axel, and Mack. Donna is also survived by her Loving sisters Rovilla “Vel” Green (Dan), Darla Jean “Jeannie” Sherwood (Richard). She was the kind Aunt Donna to her nieces and nephews. A friend and confident to Mo Peterson. Donna was preceded in death by her husband Dorance, parents and sister Elaine Brengman.

A Celebration of Donna’s life will be held at Lakeview Golf Course Clubhouse in Meridian on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 1-4pm. Wear your Seahawks gear if you have it.
