Obituary of Connie Marie (Gidley) Briggs

Our beloved Connie passed away peacefully in her home Thursday November 4^th, 2021.

She was surrounded by her family and her beloved dog Frances snuggled by her side.

She was content, pain free, and left us with a beautiful smile on her face.

Connie was born in Nampa, Idaho on January 20^th 1957. She was raised in Boise, Idaho and attended Cole School, Fairmont JR. High and Graduated from Capital High School in 1975.

Connie began her career at the Boise Public Library. She then spent many years working for Morrison Knudsen where she was known for her professionalism, style and had a deep admiration towards her fellow co-workers. Connie’s other work history included Alberton’s and LKV.

Connie’s interests were a deep love of the great outdoors, camping with her family and friends, river rafting and riding her four wheeler. She never left a spot that didn’t look better than when she found it. She had a passion for the environment.

One of our greatest treasures was the Sheep Herders Bread she would bake for our family to enjoy.

Fond memories recalled also was decorating Christmas cookies with Aunt Connie.

Connie is survived by her Daughter- Jamie (Briggs) Viens, Son in Law-A.J. Viens, Grand Daughters – Annemarie and Mackenna Viens of Boise, Idaho. Her son Cody Briggs of Boise, Idaho. Her former Husband and lifelong friend- Mark Briggs of Boise, Idaho. Her Brother- Randy Gidley and his wife Bonie Gidley of Boise, Idaho. Her Sister- Pilar Moore and her Husband Burton Moore of Boise, Idaho. Her Sister- Shannon Schlagel of Boise Idaho.

Connie was also survived by numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

She was proceeded in death by her Parents- Robert and Clarice Gidley of Boise Idaho.

Taking into consideration of the Holidays and the planning of the many family and friends who would like to attend Connie’s Celebration of Life, it is being planned for January 15^th,2022. The location and time will follow at a later date.
