Obituary of Jacqueline Kae Drost

Boise, Idaho - Jacqueline Kae Drost, known as Jackie by her friends, departed her loving family on March 16, 2022 at the age of 76. She was born to the late Vera and Alvin Armstrong on March 30,1945 in North Platte, Nebraska. Jackie is survived by her brother Butch (Jeannie), her two children Tony Drost (Jennifer) and Angie Fleshman (John), and five grandchildren: Taylor, Brooke, Blake, Brittney, and Dakota. 
Growing up in Nebraska, just down the street from Jackie lived a boy named Edward Bernard Drost Jr., better known as Bernie. Years of friendship turned into love when they married on July 24,1964. After marriage, they moved to Seattle, Washington but shortly after moved to Boise, Idaho where they lived for over 50 years of their 52 years of marriage. 
Retirement life began after 25 years of employment with Idaho Power. Jackie remained active in her retirement; however the loss of her husband in 2016 was mentally heavy. Days were fulfilled with her love of puzzles, her family, and yard work. Although Jackie lived alone for many years, she enjoyed the company of her dogs Annie and Sadie. 
At Jackie's request there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Idaho Humane Society or Alzheimer's Association Greater Idaho Chapter.
