Obituary of Maurice Lallier

In Loving Memory and Tribute of Maurice Lallier and His Life and Legacy

Maurice went into the arms of Jesus and moved to heaven on May 8, 2022, after a short month long illness. He was very brave and such a strong man, never complaining, but growing sweeter and closer to God, his wife Karen and others as the days went on. God's grace and care were over him.  Maurice was born to Gerard and Rhea Lallier in Providence RI  in 1958. He married Karen  in 2001. Maurice helped her for 21 years with her health challenges, so it was such an honor for her to help and serve him.  She is so grateful he enjoyed deeply "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit" 2 Cor 13:14

Maurice was a Mechanical Designer who worked on a variety of designs from boys toys at Hasbro, to medical devices at Ethicon Surgeries, to ball bearings for Ford cars at Timken.  He later became a Graphic Designer and a professional published photographer, in addition to doing a wide variety of jobs for both their companies.  He went on a special Mission Trip to Brazil to help and serve the poor.  He loved to watch race car driving and enjoyed walks with his wife and doing things together. Maurice will be loved, respected and cherished forever, and greatly missed.

He is preceded by his parents, Gerard and Rhea Lallier. He is survived by his wife Karen, brother Rene Lallier and his wife Lora, nephew Jeremy Lallier and his wife Mary and their two children, niece Chelsea Adelman and her husband Ryan, brother-in-law Mark Krotoski and his wife Nicole and their daughter Claire Gina, brother-in-law Steve Krotoski, and many loved ones and friends who showed their love and care for Maurice and Karen, which was very comforting to them. Thank you for your love and prayers, they truly sustained us!

One of Maurice’s favorite songs:

I Love You Lord And I Lift My Voice

I love you, Lord, And I lift my voice To worship You Oh, my soul, rejoice!

Take joy my King In what You hear Let it be a sweet, sweet sound In Your ear

Someone special to Maurice and Karen prayed a comforting prayer, “Lord, we know Your servant is with You!”  Maurice left a legacy of helping people and serving in different ways he could. He was sensitive to the needs of others. We thank God for Maurice, his life and the love and help he gave us all! May God bless and reward him abundantly!  “Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.” Col 3:24

Some of the verses that meant a lot to Maurice:

  • Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isa 41:10
  • The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.  Zep 3:17
  • accepted in the Beloved. Eph 1:6
  • …Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid…for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Josh 1:9
  • The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.  Prov 18:10
  • I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Phil 4:13
  • Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Phil 4:6
  • Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Prov 16:24
  • Psalm 91
  • And let the peace of God rule in your hearts... Col 3:15
  • The LORD is my shepherd…He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Ps 23:1, 3
  • If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36

Maurice pursued a deep relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and was born again, based on Jesus Christ’s invitation: “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3  “Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:7  And  “Behold, I (Jesus Christ) stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”  Rev 3:20

In 1994 Maurice opened the door of his heart and welcomed Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior and asked Him to forgive him from all his sins according to the Gospels and the New Testament. He loved the Lord with all his heart and studied and read the Bible diligently through the years to get to know God and His ways better, so he could be a better man and husband.  Based on The Good News of the Gospel, Maurice came to Jesus in his heart (spirit) by faith and had newness of life (Rom 6:4) and fellowship with the Father and the Son through the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17) which God offers us all. If you haven’t already, you too can invite Jesus into your heart to forgive all your sins and be your Lord and Savior today. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”  John 3:16-17

Heaven (From a recent email on Heaven)

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you… 1 Peter 1:4

“The glittering scenes of heaven will far exceed anything in.. a .. Palace, yet it will be our home. It will feel like home, it will look like home, and it will be home. Our resurrected and glorified bodies will be perfectly equipped to enjoy all the features of the new heaven and new earth. Our friends and loved ones in Christ will meet us in New Jerusalem (Rev 21:2, Rev 3:12). Our tears will be gone, and our years will have no end. How exciting to know the joy that awaits us in heaven. We should look forward to the eternal home Jesus is preparing for us.” “…rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:20  “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.   O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” 1 Cor 15:54-55  “So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” Mark 16:19  “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” John 5:7

A song was written called, “How beautiful heaven must be.” “When we admire a gorgeous sunrise or sunset, we should whisper those words. When we study the petals of a rose or the autumn leaves, we should remind ourselves that heaven will be more stunning than anything and anywhere on earth.”

“Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.” Ps 65:4

Comforting words of Jesus to encourage us all…

  • John 14:19… because I live, ye shall live also.
  • Matt 28:20  I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
  • Heb 13:5  …he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

God bless you Maurice!
