Obituary of Nancy Ann Ketterling

Nancy Caldwell Ketterling passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2022 at her home from a lengthy
battle with cancer. She was born in Twin Falls on February 24, 1951 to Eugene and Pauline
Caldwell. She was one of 4 children. She was raised in Burley and graduated from Burley High
School. She attended nursing school at Lewis and Clark State College for a short time and then met
and married Larry Ketterling. They purchased a farm and had 3 children. Through the years she worked
for an Optometrist, a group of Internist and for her son at a pharmacy doing office management and
book-keeping.
Later in life she and Larry divorced and she moved to Meridian so that she could be close to her
daughter, Meredith, and her family. She worked at United Heritage Insurance company for a few years
and then retired from there.
She loved helping with her grandchildren and watching them grow. Living around the corner from her
family, she was able to attend a lot of the grandkids sporting and school events and was able to help a
lot with her grandson Bridger. She loved to decorate, organize closets, and she liked to sew.
In her free time, Nancy loved to travel with her kids, and with her many close friends. She traveled to
Hawaii, Italy, Nashville, Texas, Seattle and many other places around the US.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, both parents and one brother Randy, who died shortly
after birth, and many aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her sister Sharon (John) Ikaunieks her brother Rob (Lisa) Caldwell, Her three children
Thayne (Cathi) Ketterling, Twin Falls, Brad Ketterling, Meridian, Meredith (Eric) Adams, Meridian,
Grandchildren Mikayla (Adam) Steelman, Britton Adams, Bridger Adams, Carson Adams. Great
Grandchildren Kinsley and Ryker.
We would like to thank Dr. Travis Willams and his staff for caring for our mother for so many years and
St. Lukes Hospice. We appreciate your loving care for our mother. She loved all the care her doctors and
team gave for her.
All who knew Nancy will remember she loved to laugh and was the kindest person you would ever
meet. She would never turn down an opportunity to help anyone that needed her. She was often the
first person most of us would call when we had some kind of crisis, emergency, or just needed some
support. She will forever be missed by so many.
