Obituary of Bridget Lynne Hughes

Bridget Lynne Hughes, 48 of Meridian Idaho, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022 in Manvel, Texas.  Bridget was born March 7, 1974 in Misawa, Japan, to Michael Alan and Elaine Rae Hughes.  Bridget graduated from Dickinson High School in 1992 and then continued her higher education at Eastern Oregon University. Bridget, and her daughter Elaine, later moved to Idaho, where Elaine still resides.

Bridget was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Rae Hughes, brother, John Thomas Hughes, and grandparents, Gilbert and Nancy Crowson, and Thomas and Joann Hughes. 

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Verstoppen of Nampa, Idaho, father Michael Alan and Vicki Hughes of Pearland, Texas, brothers Michael Ray and Billie Jean Hughes, and Joe Alan and Melissa Reid Hughes, all of Santa Fe, Texas; step-sisters Latricia and Guy Wiggins of Washington, Texas, Donna and David Ducote of Port Neches, Texas, and Jennifer and Rob Bell of Wentzville, Missouri.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly, as well as her boyfriend, Aaron Binsky.

Bridget will be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who found beauty in everything.  She grew into a strong independent woman who was passionate about life.  She loved her family, playing golf and traveling.  And, if you were lucky enough to be loved by Bridget – you were loved wholeheartedly.
