Barbara was very special to me. Her and Gary visited me here in Denmark, taking an extra day before their cruise from Copenhagen, they came across country on the train. Before they came, Barbara emailed me asking if there was anything she could bring, to which I replied, Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing. When she arrived, she unloaded a case of packets she had brought. I was excited as a kid at Christmas to receive it. When I visited Idaho, stayed at their place, she always had a fantastic meal, sometime took me to her office, and a great place to stay. I will never forget the prime rib she fixed, was first class. Very special family and will miss her very much. I know God will bless Gary and continue to guide him though life.

Lucky me to have been a Dawson in-law then outlaw with Auntie Barb. She told me “you will always be family” and she meant it never missing my birthday in November or Christmas with her famous Christmas packages loaded its homemade jam, a gift from the years travels and her famous, and best ever biscotti.
Barb gave me solid advice for my first house purchase and connected me with a broker in the Portland, Oregon area which was so thoughtful.
I was especially impressed with her work to preserve historic buildings in Boise which lead her and Gary to Spokane, WA where I was living for a tour of buildings there. We had a delightful dinner the three of us at Churchill’s Steakhouse in 2012.
Barb and I were OJ Simpson trial “junkies” buying every book written about the trial between the two of us, quickly reading it then mailing it, plus commentary back and forth before Al Gore invented the Internet. We both laughed about Kato Kaelin’s book and we’re glad there was only one copy for the two of us. Our long-standing favorite was Lawrence Schiller’s book with Jeffrey Toobin’s New Yorker article “An Incendiary Defense” the impetus for our book “tour”. The last book “Another City, Not My Own” by Dimi ick Dunne was our senior capstone read. We could have taught a class about the trial with our collective knowledge.
She was a beloved family member, friend, inspiration and the very “Best in the West” to quote her own real estate brand tagline.
She will truly be missed. I’m glad she was doing something she loved and in a place she loved when she left us. No doubt she’s adding a lot of sugar and spice in heaven with her wry sense of humor and sweet, thoughtful nature. Hopefully her spirit will continue to bless all of us as an Angel.
My deepest condolences to Gary and Deputy.

Barb, was an early mentor for me when we were at Group One together. It took me over a year to get her Bread Pudding Recipe but eventually, she shared the recipe. We connected because of our love of dogs, as our dogs shared space with all of us when we were in the bullpen - collaborating, working on the shared computers or printer. She had a professional and sassy nature that made me smile and I knew I would get sound advice when I asked her questions. Recently, she made a correction on my Facebook page when I had made a grammatical error. I smiled and laughed as her advice was always welcomed and appreciated. Barb, you will be missed. Often, I ask, "What would Barb do". She was always teaching, guiding and expecting your best. RIP beautiful lady - you will be missed!

Heartfelt condolences to Barbara's family and to each of us who loved her. She touched so many lives during her lifetime and is quite unforgettable. She taught those of us in the real estate industry not only the nuts and bolts but the ethics of the "job".
Barb was an early mentor to me, in 1998, when starting my real estate career; She has continued to keep me grounded all these years and her friendship will be missed.
Often, Barb would ask me what Interfaith Sanctuary needed. In the summer, she gave water and peanut butter, two staples for them. In the wintertime she gave socks and gloves. One year, she helped buy boots! She was always giving of herself -from bread pudding to pepper jelly to advice.
I don't speak for the RE community, but in seeing the accolades on FB, Barbara was known, revered and loved by us as individuals and as an industry. She left us all too soon.
