Obituary of Linda Lucille Laub

Linda Lucille Laub, 72, went peacefully to her heavenly home on Wednesday, February 16th at 12:51 pm. She was surrounded by family and close friends at West Valley Medical Center on Tuesday and Wednesday with the opportunity to express her love to them and hear good memories before her passing. 

Linda was born on May 22, 1950 to Clyde Hughes and Donna Hughes in Caldwell, Idaho. She is one of 9 children and is survived by her 5 brothers and 3 sisters whom she truly loved dearly. Linda is also survived by her children Larry Laub and Sandy Laub, as well as her grandson Dustin Laub, who she dedicated her life to raising as her own son, and all of her grandchildren who were very special to her heart.

Resourceful, resilient, and giving are words that describe Linda well. “Love your neighbor as yourself” really describes her approach to life. Making food and crocheting blankets for neighbors and their children were two of the many forms of giving that all of her neighbors experienced over the years, as her gifts often came in the times they were needed most. Linda always found ways to make birthdays and Christmas very special and it was no secret that gift giving was her love language. She was always just a phone call away for a good story, a laugh, and support in times of need.

The memory of Linda lives on in the hearts of her siblings, children, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, neighbors, and medical staff who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be greatly missed, and we look forward to seeing her again in heaven someday.

A celebration of life will be held at Deer Flat Church on Friday, March 3rd at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that a donation be made to the Idaho Food Bank in Linda’s name.
