Verna Bachman

Obituary of Verna Gail Bachman

Verna Gail Bachman peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father on March 13, 2023. She is survived her children Kim and Chet Dunn, Bill Lucas, and Bob and Lisa Bachman; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; sister Sherri Hutchings and brother-in-law Jim Hutchings; and her stepfather Ken Blevins. She is preceded in death by her husband Craig Bachman, sister Rhea Burns, and her parents Norma Blevins and Roscoe Hunter.

Born on June 8, 1950, in Nampa Idaho, Verna was known to all as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. No matter what the circumstance you could always count on her to be there for you, whether that was dropping whatever she was doing to bring her grandchildren lunch from Artic Circle when their school lunch wasn’t up to par or driving to Washington all night to be there for the birth of her great granddaughter, or just to help with family needs. There are few people in the world that cared as much as her. She was funny and charming and sometimes feisty as a bear. She was also known as a great cook. Over the past few weeks, the love that her caretakers showed her in her final days was truly a reflection of who she was, ornery to the core, but loving to all. We are forever grateful for those who showed her such good loving care. We will forever miss our mom, grandma, and sister, but will cherish our memories of her.
