It is with great sorrow, and sincere spiritual gratitude, the Graham, Hass, and Hayes Families make known that on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, Betty Jean Mason-Robinson, 82, of Weiser, Idaho, passed away due to natural causes and went home to be with the Lord.

Betty Jean, a life-long member of the Church of Christ, was born in November of 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Curtis Nathanial Mason and Hazel Mae Mason. As the eldest sibling of three, Betty Jean would grow to become and embrace the treasured role of a big sister. The family would reside in Cleves, Ohio for many fond years where Betty would go on to graduate High School along with her fellow Yellowjackets from Taylor High. Some of Betty’s notable shining roles in this life, that gave rise to many memories in and throughout the states of Ohio, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, Nevada, and Idaho, include that of a synchronized swimmer, switchboard operator, navy wife, school crossing guard, bus driver, Cub Scout den mother, PTA President, cosmetic representative, company manager, corporate bookkeeper, theater seamstress and church secretary.

The most noteworthy roles in Betty Jean’s life are that of a faithful servant of Jesus Christ, a daughter “Jeanie” to Curt and Hazel, a niece to Uncle Sam and Aunt Lenora, a big sister to Linda Lee and baby sister Bonnie Sue. A mother to her two children, Stephen and Michelle and a mother-in-law to their spouses Deanna and Shawn. “Grandma Jean” to Tyler and his wife Brittany and to Sam and his wife Lizi. And to Drew and Rylei. And a very proud Great-grandmother to seven adorable great grandchildren - Patterson, Penny, Avery, Stevie, Oliver, Pace and Piper. Betty also treasured her thirty plus years married, as a wife and then widower to her spouse Mike. She also was a cherished sister-in-law to Jimi and Red. A beloved cousin and aunt, as well as an admired friend to many.

Betty Jean is preceded in death by her parents Curtis Nathanial Mason and Hazel Mae Mason, her sister Linda Lee Rowlett and Brother-in-law Red Rowlett, her aunt and uncle Lenora and Samuel Love, her former husband Steven R. Graham and spouse Robert M. Robinson.

Betty is survived by her son Steven Graham and wife Deanna Graham of Idaho. Daughter Michelle Hass and husband Shawn Hass of Idaho. Sister Bonnie Mason-Hayes and husband Jimi Hayes of Tennessee. Grandson Tyler Graham, his wife Brittany Graham and their three children of Oregon. Grandson Sam Graham, his wife Lizi Graham and their four children of Idaho. Grandson Drew Byrd of Idaho and Granddaughter Rylei Hass of Idaho. As well as her beloved feline companion of fifteen years, Figaro.

The families would like to acknowledge both the Mount Dora Church of Christ, and the Weiser Idaho Church of Christ family members for their admirable presence in the life of Betty Jean.

A memorial service will take place on Monday, April 24, 2023 at The Church of Christ in Weiser, Idaho beginning at 11:00am.
