Obituary of Christian D. Emry

Christian D. Emry, 48 died April 23, 2023 at his residence. He was born December 18, 1974, in Boise, Idaho, the son of Douglas and Linda Emry (Odiaga)

Christian graduated from Kuna High School, Class of 1993. Following graduation, he served with the US Marine Corp and US Navy.  Upon being medically discharged/disabled from the Military, he attended Northwest Nazarene University and Boise State University.  He married Cynthia Kay Emry in 2015. Christian was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son.  He treasured his time with his children and enjoyed many family trips. Christian was an advocate for Veterans and involved with the Mission43 Foundation and Idaho Search and Rescue. He loved being in the mountains, especially at the family cabin.  Christian grew up playing sports and loved baseball and football. The KC Chiefs and KC Royals were his favorite teams, and he was blessed to see them play in person several times. From a young age, Christian loved the Lord and had faith in God’s promise of eternal life. He had comfort knowing he would be reunited with his Father.

Christian is preceded in death by: Father, Douglas Emry; Grandparents, Don and Louise Emry; Grandparents, John and Isabel Odiaga; Niece, Isabel Emry.

Christian is Survived by: His wife, Cynthia Kay Emry; sons, Jake Barinsky, Logan Barinsky, Liam Emry, Jackson Emry; daughters, Lacey Emry, Hailey Barinsky, and Tinsley Emry; grandson, Bradley Barinsky; Mother, Linda Emry (Odiaga); brothers, Matthew Emry (Courtney) and Adam Emry; Nephews, Colton Emry, and Isaac Emry. He also leaves behind many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
