Obituary of Howard L. Kasper

Howard L. “Bud” Kasper November 10, 1937 – July 25, 2023 Eagle, Idaho – Bud Kasper, 85 of Eagle, Idaho passed away on July 25, 2023 of natural causes.  He was born on November 10, 1937 in Elko, NV.  Bud was a graduate of California Polytechnic State University.  After graduation, Bud led a very active cowboy life.  He was a rodeo competitor, roping and riding bulls.  He also worked as a ranch manager in Northern Nevada.  He eventually became a very well respected and trusted cattle buyer.  He worked for a number of years as the President of Agri Beef’s Livestock Division.  In semi-retirement, Bud became a licensed real estate agent and then enjoyed 20 years of retirement prior to his passing. He was adventurous and he fearlessly learned to fly, ski, sail, compete on cutting horses, ballroom dance and cook over the years.  Bud was a joy to be around.  He always enjoyed a good laugh, a fine wine and a good steak.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Julie Kasper.  He is survived by his children Carla Daehnke, Judy Kasper, Bland Ballard, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.  The family would like to personally thank Foxtail Senior Living and Keystone Hospice for their compassionate care of Bud. 

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Dry Creek Cemetery, 9600 Hill Rd. in Boise
