Stella Sue Moe passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital with her family around her after a long battle with diabetes and dementia.

Sue was born on January 23, 1943 to Stella Mae Lee Logan and Delton Henry Logan in Paris, Arkansas. After her father's young death she and her mother moved to Sherman Oaks, California where Sue attended school and graduated from Van Nuys high school in 1961. Sue then lived with the Bruce and Natalie McKeighan family and was treated as a daughter by the family the rest of her life. She especially enjoyed the family's summer trips to their cabin at the Pistol Creek Ranch on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.

Sue married Don R. Moe on December 27, 1964 in the Little Brown Church in Sherman Oaks, California. They spent nearly 59 wonderful years together. From 1965 until 1969 Don and Sue were co-owners of Eagle Trucking Company in Woodland Hills, California From 1969 to 1979 Sue was secretary for Eagle Rentals Corporation in Van Nuys, California and then from 1979 until she moved to Idaho with her family Sue was employed with the Burleson and Hiatt Hallmark shops in Agoura, California.

Sue and family moved to Boise in 1985 and opened Sue's Hallmark Shop in Overland Park shopping center. In 1988 they moved the store to Boise Towne Square Mall and operated it until 2003 when they sold the store along with their store in the Northgate Shopping Center. After selling the stores Sue went to work at the Disney Store in Boise Towne Square which she loved because of her love of anything Disney ever since Disneyland opened in 1955. Every Mother's Day while the family lived in Southern California was spent at Disneyland as per her request. This love of Disney continued for the remainder of her life.

After her retirement, Sue and Don spent lots of time traveling all around the Lower 48 visiting friends, relatives and seeing all the historic sites along the way including of course Disneyland and Disney World. She especially enjoyed visiting a special group in North Carolina lovingly called the "Beach Bunch".

Sue was preceded in death by her parents Delton and Stella Logan. Sue is survived by her husband Don, sons Jeffrey, David (Nathaly), James and "special daughter'' Dawn (Mike) along with grandchildren, Jaclyn, Shelby, Brandon, Mateo, Logan, Luna, brother-in-law Van (Joyce), Nieces, Andrea (Dave), Shannon (Eddie), two sisters Lori and Joni and their families and cousin Ruth Walker.

Sue's family gratefully expresses their thanks to Life Care Center of Treasure Valley along with Mike Briggs at Keystone Hospice and St. Luke's Hospital whose care and compassion during Sue's final battle with her illness helped to make her transition a peaceful one.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bronco Athletic Association (BAA) Don and Sue Moe Family Athletic Scholarship, 1910 University Drive, Boise, Idaho 83725 or to your choice of charity.
