Obituary of Luise Barbara Punzal

Luise Barbara Punzal exited this world peacefully on August 8, 2023, at the young age of 93 to join her Heavenly Father, family, and friends. Miss Betty was born on December 2, 1929, in Neustadt, Germany to Wilhelm Kühn and Karolina Motzenbacher. Shortly after WW2, she gave birth to Eugene and Christiane. Later Betty married and moved to the US where she gave birth to Anna and adopted Yvonna. Miss Betty was giving, strong in faith, full of life, unique, a bit feisty, and impeccably dressed. She was a passionate shopper, kept an immaculate house, loved German food, and practically invented the "Chicken Dance!" She always insisted on singing the Zum Geburtstag viel Glück birthday song for friends and family. Translation: "Much luck/happiness, and blessings in all your ways may health and merriment be there as well." Her hugs and blessings were given in abundance.

During her last years of life, she was able to celebrate her granddaughter's wedding where she stole the dance floor and met her great-grandson Oliver who always brought a smile to her face. 

Her parents and sister Augusta Bellamy precede Miss Betty in death. She is survived by her children Christiane Brinkley (Jerry), of Amarillo, Texas, Eugene Watson Jr. of Amarillo, Texas, Anna Johnson (James), of Selma, Texas, Yvonna Rowett (John), of Boise, Idaho. Grandchildren Shawn Rendon, of Union City, New Jersey, Christelle Heiman (Nathan), of New Braunfels, Texas, Elijah Rendon, of Mineola, Florida, Joseph Rowett (Danielle), and Erica, Rowett (Lance Abbott), of Boise, Idaho. Great-grandsons Landon and Beckett Heiman, Oliver Rowett, niece Crystel Barina, of Ingolstadt, Germany, and a nephew Ali Bellamy, of Munich, Germany.

Her family and friends loved her and we take comfort that she is free of suffering and pain, and enjoying eternal peace. We would like to thank Brookdale Assisted Living, Ancora Hospice, and all her medical providers for their kindness, patience, and compassionate care they provided.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 4 PM - 8 PM, at the Stonehouse located at 709 E. Park Blvd. Boise, Idaho
