Obituary of Charles Severt Munson

Charles “Chuck” Severt Munson, 74, of Meridian, ID, passed away on Aug 15, 2023.

Chuck was born on April 11th, 1949 to Paul and Lois Munson in San Mateo, Ca. After Chuck graduated from Sequoyah High school, he went to USAF Tech where he graduated in 1968. He then went on to serve in the Vietnam War.

Upon returning from Vietnam, he started at Hewlett Packard as a machinist. Kickstarting a 30 year career working for them where he retired as a Procurement Engineer at the Meridian location.

In 1972, Chuck met Bianca in Redwood city Cal. They were married for 5 years and went on to have 2 beautiful sons, Brian and Doug Munson.

Later, in 1989, Chuck met Anita Munson and helped raise and support his 2 step sons, Chris Hugon and Anthony Fogg.

Chuck then retired in 2001 and spent his time with his wife, working on their garden, pond, and tinkering with his classic 1955 Chevy Bel Air. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family whether by phone or the occasional visits where he’d share stories, showing off his coin collections and old Coca Cola memorabilia.

Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Bianca and Anita. He is survived by Brian Munson and Doug Munson.

Services will be held at Summers Funeral Home in Meridian, ID on Monday, August 28th, 2023 at 4pm. And on the 29th we will have a ceremony at the Veterans cemetery located off Horseshoe Bend Rd and Dry Creek Rd at 1pm. Maps will be available on the 28th at Summer’s funeral home.
