In Loving Memory of Brenda Louise Totorica

 

Brenda Louise Totorica, a resident of Eagle, Idaho, passed away at home on September 12, 2023. She was a woman of remarkable achievements, a loving mother, and a source of joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

 

Born in Lewiston, Idaho on March 26, 1953, Brenda was the youngest daughter of Wayne and Lila Thornton. Her journey was marked by perseverance, achievement, and the ability to bring joy to those around her.

 

Brenda was a native Idahoan and lived here her entire life, spending much of it in McCall. She had a love of traveling and enjoyed exploring the world with her family. She was the embodiment of a loving mother and her devotion to her family unwavering. Her circle of friends and acquaintances will forever remember her for her kindness, compassion, and the delight she brought into their lives.

 

In the realm of business, Brenda distinguished herself as an accomplished businesswoman. Her career spanned from her early years at First Security Bank to being a small business owner of Lake Shore Disposal and Totorica Rentals in McCall. She culminated her professional journey as a founding board member of Idaho First Bank in McCall, leaving an indelible mark of expertise and leadership. Brenda's life was marked by her remarkable achievements and her commitment to excellence. Her legacy in the business world is a testament to her vision, dedication, and work ethic.

 

Brenda was predeceased by her parents and her brother in-law, Louis Totorica, and leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Tony, and their son, Nathan (Kim). Her love extended to her siblings, Brad (Trish) Thornton, Judy Gebhart, and Joan Warden, her in-laws, Albert (Maridee) Totorica, Christina (Bill) Ilett, Joanna (Dave) Aizpitarte, Ronnie (Cristie) Totorica, Daniel (Nikki) Totorica, and multiple nieces and nephews. Her warmth and affection enriched the lives of each family member.

 

A viewing to pay respects and a separate memorial service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on different days. The viewing will take place on Friday, October 6th from 1pm to 3pm at Summers Funeral Home. The formal memorial service will be conducted on October 9th at 11am at Holy Apostles Catholic Church. We invite family and friends to join us on both occasions to honor Brenda's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the ALS Association, Basque Museum, or Camp Hodia in honor of Brenda.

 

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time. Your love and kindness are deeply appreciated.
