Dorothy Elizabeth Pelican, daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Lane, was born in Noxen, Pennsylvania on April 28, 1935. She was the eldest of seven siblings, and began her legacy of caring for and nurturing others at a young age.

Dotty met her true love, Robert Joseph Pelican, at a high school dance and they were united in holy matrimony in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on December 29, 1953. This union was blessed with 4 children. Robert preceded her in death on August 29, 1981.

Dotty spent her life caring for those around her. She loved cooking and organizing group events, and looked forward to her weekly game of cards. Dotty loved children, and enjoyed time spent with her family.

She passed peacefully from this life surrounded by the love of her family, on the evening of November 28, 2023.

Dotty was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Alice Lane; her husband, Robert Joseph; her son Bobby; siblings Laura and Tommy.

She is survived by her children Kathy, Kenny and Terri Jo; her siblings Jimmy, Marjorie, Billy and Jo Ann; her eleven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; multiple nieces and nephews.
