Alice Stantliff passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Boise, ID.
She was born on September 22, 1934, in Blackfoot, ID to Leo and Goldie McCulloch. She was the oldest of three children.
She met her husband Stan in 1949. They were married the next year on their shared birthday (September 22) creating one amazing day! They would celebrate each other and the love they had for one another for the next 69 years until Stan’s passing in 2020.
In 1962, Stan and Alice moved to Riverside, ID where they raised their three sons and a daughter. During that time Alice drove a school bus for the Snake River School District for 26 years before retiring in 1995.
Family has always been an important part of her life, so shortly after retirement they moved to Boise, ID to be closer to family. She always made sure she had a front row seat to every event, performance, and celebration for all her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She cherished her role as a grandmother and created countless memories with all her grandchildren that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
Alice has always had a creative passion and brought it to life with her sewing, toll painting, cross-stitch, embroidery, and quilting.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Stan Stantliff, her son, David, her father, mother and two sisters. She is survived by her three children. Jeff, Scott, and Susan (Steve) Hook, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
