We are sad to announce the passing of Dilla Jean (Davis) Hunter of Boise Idaho at age 85 in the early morning hours of February 5, 2024, at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Dilla (Grandma Dilly) was a caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and loyal friend.

She was born to George and Gladys Davis on April 10, 1938 in Bellevue, Idaho. After graduating High School from Bellevue High, Dilla met and married Richard LeRoy Hunter May 12, 1956 in Boise, Idaho. Together they had 3 children: Marina Mae Mccarroll, Blaine LeRoy Hunter, and Shawna Lynn Davidsmeier.

Dilla loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her children, friends, and neighbors. Baking homemade bread was one of her many talents, and she loved sharing it with everyone. Waffle feeds at her house was a tradition that will be missed. She loved the outdoors, especially camping with family. She loved her kids and grandkids, and made each feel like they were the most important person in the world. No one ever felt like a stranger when they met Dilla. She showed genuine interest, empathy, and compassion for everyone she met.

Dilla (Grandma Dilly) is survived by her sister, Alice Godby, her 3 children; Marina, Blaine, and Shawna, 12 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren with 2 more arriving soon, and many nieces and nephews.

Dilla was preceded in death by her parents, (George & Gladys}, 2 brothers, (Bill and Bob}, 2 sisters, (Marcine and Wilma), and her loving husband Dick Hunter.

Viewing will be held Friday February 9, 2024 at Summers Funeral Home located at 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian. Idaho 83646, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 10, 2024 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2323 N. Maple Grove, Boise Idaho 83704 at 11:00 AM.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday February 13, 2024 at the Hailey, Idaho cemetery located at 511 Maple Street, Hailey, Idaho 83333 at 1:00 PM.
