I wanted to send something that all of you could share. Losing your second Parent is a little bit of a shock, even if it's expected. It makes you a mid-life orphan, it takes away the anchor for your Family. It is a little unsettling. Be gentle with yourselves, Marty will live on in each of you and in us too; all the ways that were uniquely hers. I have many fond memories of this tiny Woman who was ao much her very own self. Thank you so much for including me in her life, we had some fun together. Cymry

We know this is a very sad time for the Stolz family, and we share your grief. The memory of the great trip with took with your parents Bob and Marti to Australia, when Sarah was just pregnant with Timmy, will always be with us, and we will think of her as she was then. Much love, Hari and Bee

Hello Ken, Rick, and Huston,
Rick, I lost track of your telephone number after I saw you at Dave Page's memorial. I'm sorry that I didn't follow through some way, but I'm sure you'll understand since I'm so occupied with taking care of Joe. He's doing well considering he had a stroke 12 years ago, but he's on a walker these days.
Old age is not easy and I know the three of you have had so many decisions and a lot of caregiving yourselves over the last few years. I think how difficult it must have been to see your vibrant parents struggle so in their last years. We'll always value the good times we spent with them and feel lucky that we were Highlands neighbors, Boise Cascade "family" members and that we knew all of you. I'm saddened that such a sweet, vibrant person as your mother is no longer here. She and your dad were so sharp and knew how to enjoy life. Now that some of what we used to do together is no longer in our lives either,we can look back and think how lucky we were to dance with them in Idaho City, in Sun Valley (I sprained my ankle while dancing with your dad there!) and at Angells. they brought happiness to many people, including us, many times in inviting us to join them in celebrating their own happiness in celebrating their marriage. We value too the way they used to keep us up to date on the three of you, sometimes over dinner when we'd meet them at the Blue Note (I believe it was) where Smokey Mountain Pizza is. We're thinking of all of you. Love, Rita and Joe
