To my dear friend John. May you rest in peace and be with the Lord now. John, Thank you for all you did for me as a young man and accepted me with unconditional love and kindness. You were in many instances like a dad to me when I was a young man. You inspired me in so many ways. I will never forget all you did for me. To Ginger and the rest of the Volk family...Thank you all for sharing John with so many people. He truly will be missed. My prayers of comfort go out to Ginger and all the Volk family.

My love to all my girls. Uncle Harold will forever be in our hearts, now together again with The Volks probably playing poker and golf and having a family reunion. Hes the bravest, kindest most loving man and Uncle I know. He will always remain with us as another guardian angel. Love you Uncle Harold

May you find comfort in knowing your Father is home at last and that one day you all will be together again. The love you've shared as a family lives in your heart and your memories.... nothing can take this from you. Uncle John was such a treasure and a true favorite of mine. He will greatly be missed. Thankfully we have all those treasured memories of him and Dad. Those memories are forever and will always be a part of who we are. May you all find comfort in each other and be strong for one another. My love always, Shana

I had the pleasure of meeting John at the fitness center upon moving to Boise in 1975. John was a gentleman and a officer...so gracious in how he treated people! I enjoyed very much your review of this wonderful man's life of service to his family and country. Dr Kranz
