Obituary of Lillian Salazar

Lillian Darline Salazar, 77, of New Centerville and Boise, ID died June 23, 2012. A viewing will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Summers Funeral Home, 1205 W. Bannock Street, Boise. Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Rosary, 1500 East Wright St, Boise, ID. Internment will take place at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery Friday at 1:00 pm. Darline was born on May 23, 1935 in Boise, ID to William (Buck) and Eva Palmer. She married Glenn Mummert in 1952. They had three sons, Michael, Marty and Randy. They later divorced. On February 23, 1976 she married her husband of 36 years, James Salazar. Darline attended Boise High School. She was a long term employee of Winco Foods and retired from there. She was active and well respected in the New Centerville Community as the Chief Judge of the New Centerville Election Board and a volunteer at the senior center. Darline is survived by her husband, James Salazar of New Centerville and Boise, son Michael Mummert and wife Anita of Kennewick, WA and their daughter Kelsey, son Randy Mummert and wife Diane of Boise, ID and their children Sheri Iannazzo and Brandy Trammel, stepchildren James Lee, Patricia, Jacqueline, James Jr, Valerie, Jennifer and Lee of Colorado, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Jean Wonacott and Rena Lottman, and nieces and nephews and their children. Darline was preceded in death by son Marty Mummert and infant daughter Shari Mummert, parents William and Eva Palmer, sister Flora Cook and brother Loren Shaffer and stepchildren Randy Salazar and Carolyn Montes. She was a warm, generous and spirited woman that lived life to the fullest. She will be missed.
