Obituary of Inez Bartmess

Inez Bartmess December 25, 1916 - March 10, 2012 Inez Bartmess, 95, of Roseville, California, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at a retirement facility after a short illness. Inez was born December 25, 1916, in Roscoe, Texas to Asa Lee and Ora Lee Crow. She and her family moved to Eugene, Oregon prior to arriving in Boise in 1935. Inez graduated from Meridian High School in 1937, met and married Myrl Bartmess on February 12, 1938. They were married 68 years prior to Myrl's death in 2006. Inez was a housewife and mother to Vicki & Mike. Inez & Myrl operated the Glenwood Stables in the 1970's and had a number of horses they raced at Les Bois Park. Inez loved sewing, ceramics, making dolls, cooking her excellent pies, dancing and playing pinchole in her spare time. She was a great cook and always liked having the family sit down for a meal. The last four years Inez spent time with her family in California and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Everts (Gerald) of Lincoln, California, Alice Bartmess (widow of Mike) of Mesa, Arizona, as well as two grandsons, Kory (Cathi) of Lincoln, California, and their children Nicole of Lubbuck, Texas, and Dillon of Wheatland, California. and Garrett (MeLissa),and their children, Shannar, Mar Lanna and Rhaya of Lincoln, California, and one granddaughter, Kelly, of Mesa, Arizona. Inez is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Inez is also survived by her companion of the past year, Pete Zearbaugh, of Roseville, California. Together they played cards, shopped and just enjoyed each others company. Inez was preceded in death by her parents, Asa & Ora Crow, three sisters, two brothers. She is also preceded in death by her son, Michael Bartmess. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23rd at Dry Creek Cemetery.
