Obituary of Dixie Anderson

Dixie Rae Anderson Dixie Rae Anderson was born February 17, 1936 to Bradley R. and Eva M. Young in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She passed away peacefully on December 11, 2011, in Boise, Idaho. Per her wishes she was cremated and no services will be conducted. Dixie was schooled in Idaho Falls and Pocatello in her early life and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1954. She graduated from the University of Idaho, with a bachelor's degree in Education in 1958. She was a proud member of the Alpha Phi sorority. She married her high school sweetheart, David J. Anderson, on August 20, 1957. She gave birth to three sons, Michael C. Anderson, Meridian, John D. Anderson (Amber), Pocatello, and Stephen B. Anderson, Pocatello. Dixie loved to travel and spend time with her family and seven grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles with her husband David. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, her older brother, Larry Young, and her beloved Tiger Lilly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the humane society.
