Obituary of Jarod Martarano

Jarod Anthony Martarano In the early morning on Friday, November 25, 2011, our beautiful son and brother Jarod left this earth and joined his little brother in heaven. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in his home in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Jarod Anthony Martarano, was born on January 7, 1992 in Escondido, CA. but his home was in Idaho where he lived since moving here with his family when he was two months old. He attended school in Meridian, ID where he graduated from Mt. View High School in 2010 where wrestling and football were two of his passions. Jarod had an amazing personality. He had a quick wit and a natural, hilarious sense of humor, which is one of the things everyone that knew him will always remember him for. He loved to make people laugh which he did all the time. He had a huge, loving heart which he shared with everyone. He loved his family very much, which he told us every day. He also loved his friends, which he made very easily wherever he went. Jarod's hobbies included music, playing his guitar, riding his BMX bike and going to the beach and most sports. He also had a huge love for animals. He got a job at Petco in San Juan which he absolutely loved, as well as his coworkers. He was so proud of the fact that in working there for such a short time he was promoted to a manager position. He was looking extremely forward to coming home for Christmas to see his family and friends. After several years of fighting his own personal battles, he was finally in a place where he was healthy, proud of himself and his accomplishments, and truly happy. He moved to San Juan Capistrano, CA. several months ago to an amazing dual diagnosis treatment center called "Able to Change Recovery". We are forever grateful to everyone there for their help and sincere love and devotion and respect they showed to Jarod and to everyone else there too. Jarod is survived by his parents, Anthony (Tony) Martarano, Lisa Martarano, his older sister Kaila Martarano and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his younger brother Jacob Martarano. Services for a celebration of Jarod's life will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel, followed by graveside services at Meridian Cemetery.
