Obituary of Frances Pistolesi

Frances J. (Facione) Pistolesi, died on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Marquis Care at Shaw Mountain Nursing Home in Boise. Frances was born on January 2, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to Erasmo and Maria Facione, who emigrated from Italy to the United States in 1920. She was the fifth of eight children. She loved to roller skate. Frances grew up in Detroit and married the love of her life Joe Pistolesi, on July 18, 1949. They had four children. During their lifetime together they lived in Michigan, California, and in Boise for the past 6 years. Frances had a successful 30 year career as a Cosmetologist working in Birmingham, Michigan and later in Rancho Palos Verdes California. She was a great cook and everyone loved and enjoyed her Italian cooking. Frances is survived by her husband Joseph Pistolesi of Boise, ID, her four children, Carl Pistolesi of Hilton Head, SC, Kathy Taylor of Boise, ID, Carol Castorani of Vista, CA, Pete Pistolesi of Novi, MI, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and five of her siblings. A viewing will be held at Summers Funeral Homes, 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, July 12, followed by a Rosary at 7:00pm. The funeral service will be at St. John's Cathedral in Boise at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. A graveside service will be held for the family at Meridian Cemetery.
