Obituary of Phillip Klingelhoets

Phillip August Klingelhoets of Boise, Idaho passed away at home October 1, 2015. Phil was born December 23, 1930 in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin to Arthur and Teresa Klingelhoets. Phil served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean War. He married Lois Birch and they raised four children together while he was working as journeyman meat cutter. Phil enjoyed the outdoors including hiking with his dogs, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 20 years and served as Grand Knight. He has lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Colorado, Wyoming, and Idaho. Phil was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers and sisters: Joseph, William, Anthony, Hank, Ambrose, Annie, Lucile, Caroline, and James. He is survived by his lovely wife of 60 years Lois; his best friend, David Wooden of 50 plus years; and his children: Danny and Janice, Donnie and Lori, Teresa, Bryan and Mihaela; as well as numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
