Obituary of Joan Rosa

Joan Lorraine Rosa 1941 ~ 2014 Our mother, Joan Lorraine Rosa, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in 1941 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She met the love of her life, Vinny Rosa, and was married 54 wonderful years. They lived in New Jersey for 15 years and raised four beautiful children. Their adventurous spirits took them to Colorado where they spent many happy years. Upon retirement they settled in southern California before ultimately moving to Boise to be closer to family in their later years. Our dear mother was a loving wife, selfless mother, and thoughtful and devoted friend. She led a very fulfilling life traveling the world with her husband and she dedicated her entire life to her family. She was a caring and very generous person throughout her life; she had a love for cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. Her Catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life. She will be greatly missed. Our mother was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Rosa. She is survived by her husband, Vinny; children, Anita (Mike) Bokan of Boise; Vince Rosa of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and Toni (Tim) Wujcik of Long Grove, Illinois. Joan was blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren, Ryan, Chelsea, Michael, Megan, Zach, Alec, Bryce, and Carly. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. John's Cathedral Chapel, Boise.
