Obituary of James Brower

James "JB" William Brower 1949 ~ 2014 James William Brower passed away after a brave battle with cancer on April 29, 2014 at his home in Boise, Idaho. Jim was born February 22, 1949 to Ethel Mae and Frank Buckingham of Boise. Jim was the eldest of 4 siblings, Tom Buckingham (brother), Sally Trader (sister), and Sue Meckelson (sister). He grew up in Boise and attended Garfield Elementary, East Junior High, Borah High School and graduated from Boise High. Jim played many sports in high school including football. Jim always had a love of the great outdoors from the very beginning. Whether he was playing Cowboys and Indians with his brother Tom or raising "cain" with the "WWBN Fiasco" boys. Jim lived and breathed for the outdoors and all things camping, hunting, and fishing. Any given weekend you could find him outdoors with either a gun or fishing rod in his hand. Jim met and married the love of his life, Lois Arlene Evans in 1974. Together they had many adventures, laughs and an abundance of love for each other. Jim and Lois also have two adorable children that are the light of their lives. His eldest Matt was his little shadow and Best Friend from the very beginning and his daughter Jamie was his little Princess and dance partner. After 30 years of hard work, Jim retired from Coors Distributing in 2008. He loved his job, but loved the people he worked with and the community he served the most. Jim was known for being a man with an enormous heart that would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was the type of man that when he walked into a room it lit up with smiles, fun and laughter. Jim would like to express his love and sincere gratitude to all of the family and friends he grew up with including his large extended family he married into. He wanted to thank you for enhancing his life for the better. Jim is survived by his adoring wife, Lois; son, Matt (Jenny) Brower; daughter, Jamie (Jeremiah) Shapel; granddaughter, Emma Rose Shapel; brother, Tom (Carmen) Buckingham; sister, Sally (Jerry) Trader; and sister, Sue (Mo) Meckelson. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Buckingham; mother, Ethel Mae Brower; and brother, Tim Brower. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Summers Funeral Homes, 3629 E. Ustick Road, Meridian, ID
