Obituary of Esteban Daniel

Esteban Flores Daniel, 88, of Meridian, Idaho was welcomed into Heaven on February 26, 2014. He passed peacefully surrounded by the loving family he had devoted his entire life to. Esteban was born in Eagle Pass, Texas on February 6, 1926. He spent his younger days basking in the Texas sun and swimming in the waters of the Rio Grande, which was one of his favorite stories to share. He married his childhood sweetheart, Maria Urrabazo, and started a family. Esteban and Maria worked across the county until finally settling down in Idaho. Esteban held various occupations and quickly proved himself with his dedication and tireless work ethic. He eventually retired from Hewlett Packard in 1995. Even while retired, he kept busy building and restoring things in his workshop, fishing, and enjoying God's gift of another day. However, his main focus was taking care of his family. Always, and to the end, a devout Catholic, Esteban's relationship with the Lord came before anything else. He would always pray for the safety and well-being of his family, read his Bible constantly, and never went to bed without his favorite cross at his side. His faith was unwavering, and he has surely received his just reward in God's kingdom as he waits for his family to join him in eternity. Esteban is survived by his wife, Maria Daniel; his children, Elva (Elmer) Padilla; Marie (Nicholas) Martinez; Steve Daniel (Mona Pon); and Amavilia Daniel (Randy Saha); five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; as well as his sisters, Angelita D. Vasquez and Antonia Villareal. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N Meridian Rd, Meridian, Idaho. Esteban will be laid to rest at Meridian Cemetery following Mass. Beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, you showed us the meaning of unconditional love and lived as an example of a Godly life.
