Our Mother, Josephine Davey, 91 of Boise, Idaho passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at a local care center in Boise. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Summers Funeral Home, Ustick Chapel, 3629 Ustick Rd., Meridian, Idaho. Josephine was born April 19, 1922 in Eveleth, Minnesota to Stephen and Frances (Schiller) Jurjavich. She grew up in Eveleth and in 1941, married the love of her life, William Davey. In 1951, William and Josephine moved their family to Boise with the prospect of a better life. Josephine began her dream of building a strong, loving family and raised four boys. Mom's true calling was raising her family and caring for her husband. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook, can, and bake. She also loved to crochet and made slippers for all of the residents and staff of Willow Park Care Center in Boise. Josephine loved spending time with her four sons, daughters-in-law, and the grandchildren. She was a caring woman who loved being surrounded by her family and friends. You will be in our hearts and thoughts forever. We dearly love you and miss you. The family is grateful for the wonderful care Willow Park Assisted Living provided to Jo over the years and would like to thank each and every one of them. Jo was Willow Park's longest resident and was loved by all of the residents and staff. Josephine is survived by her sister, Dorothy Barfknecht; sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Linda Davey of Seattle, WA, Leroy and Lucy Davey of Nipoma, CA, Rick and Sue Davey of Boise, and Brian and Shelly Davey of Boise; 5 wonderful grandchildren, Melissa, Aaron, Lisa, Ryan, and Jason; and her 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her grandson, James D. Turnbough; and siblings, Ralph Jurjavich, Louis Jurjavich, Mae Gams, Regina "Lauley" Welander, and Frances Re'.
