Obituary of Ronald Casey

Ronald Wayne Casey passed away Monday, January 13, 2014 peacefully in Meridian, Idaho. Ronald was born in Pocatello, Idaho, July 21, 1951, the younger of two children of George and Edna-Mae Casey. He traveled with his family for several years while his dad was doing iron work before finally settling in Boise in 1959. Ron attended Capital High School and graduated in 1969. He shortly thereafter joined the Air Force Reserves for a short time. Ron married Sundae in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 10, 1994. Together they took some amazing vacations and spent time with many good friends and family and remained close friends after divorcing. He and Dave Conklin own Euro Tech and have had a lot of success and enjoyment building cabinetry. Ron was a very kindhearted and giving brother, husband, and uncle. He worked tirelessly at his job and loved visiting with friends at the Elk Lodge of which he was a faithful member. He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna-Mae Casey in 1985; his father, George E. Casey in 2004; and his stepmother, Marie E. Casey in 2013. Ron is survived by his sister, Sharon Casey McCollum (Bob); stepsisters, Kendra Falen and Shelly McCoy (Doug); his Aunt Bernadene Casey; nieces, Giovonna, Katrina, Mindra, and Megan; many cousins and great nieces and one nephew- who all love him very dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Summers Funeral Homes, Boise Chapel, 1205 W Bannock St, Boise. A reception will follow immediately after at St. Paul's Baptist Church, 306 N 14th St, Boise.
