Obituary of Patricia Ellen Mortensen

It is with tremendous sadness the family of Patricia Ellen Mortensen announces her passing on Friday, March 30, 2018 at the age of 68 years. Patricia passed away at her home in Boise, Idaho with her husband by her side.

Born on March 2, 1950 in Upland, California, Patricia’s family thereafter moved to Connell, Washington where she spent much of her life prior to relocating to Boise to be closer to her children. Patricia graduated from Eastern Washington University and then chose a career in public service as a Social Worker, serving the states of Washington and Idaho. Her desire to help others was reflected in the positive attitude she maintained and the smile she always wore; characteristics that will be forever missed. She loved all creatures, especially cats, and enjoyed the companionship she found in the many pets she cared for throughout her life.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Daniel Mortensen, children: Brenden, Lesley, and Beau, multiple grandchildren, her siblings: Bonnie, Mike, and George, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Dean Allen Poulson and Phyllis May Poulson, and we take comfort in knowing Patricia has rejoined them now.

A funeral service in loving memory of Patricia will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 10:00 am. The service will be at Summers Funeral Home located at 3629 E. Ustick Rd. Meridian, Idaho 83646. Those who desire are encouraged to send flowers to Summers Funeral Home.
