Obituary of Alice June Biswell

Alice J. Biswell was born to Helen and William Heffron, in Madison, Wisconsin, June 17, 1940. She passed away at her home on April 5, 2018.

After her parents’ divorce, Alice, her mother and grandmother moved west when she was 9. She and her mother married Daddy, Donald McKinney.  They lived in Omak, WA, Walla Walla, WA and Spokane, WA. She graduated from Central Valley High School in Spokane in 1958. She entered the Army after graduation where she married her soul mate, Roland Biswell in Watsonville, CA, in June of 1959. They moved to Boise, ID in 1960. Alice was employed by Rhodes News Agency and USDA Idaho Agricultural Station until she retired in 1996.

She was the oldest of 6 children. She is preceded in death by Grandma, her dad, brother, Ronald and spouse, Roland.

She is survived by her mom, brothers: Larry, Curt and Randy and sister Deb and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 12 at 1pm at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Idaho Food Bank, Meals on Wheels or the American Cancer Society in Alice’s name.

“I’ve lived a happy and full life. Don’t mourn for me.”
